Active substance: Amoxicillin trihydrate and potassium clavulanate
One sachet contains 1148 mg of amoxicillin trihydrate (equivalent to 1 g of amoxicillin) and 148.9 mg of potassium clavulanate (equivalent to 125 mg of clavulanic acid)
Excipients: Silicon dioxide, sucrose, xanthan gum, sodium saccharin, orange powder
This medication is used to treat the following infections
Upper and lower respiratory tract infections including otitis media
Acute infections of the paranasal sinuses (acute sinusitis)
Exacerbation of chronic bronchitis
Lung infections
Kidney and lower urinary tract infections
Genital infections
Note: Pneumonia treatment should be initiated parenterally, especially in severe cases, following official international guidelines for appropriate antimicrobial use
Allergy to amoxicillin, clavulanic acid, or any of the other components of the sachet
History of allergic reactions to beta-lactam antibiotics such as penicillins or cephalosporins
History of liver problems or jaundice after taking Amoxiclav-Denk 1000-125
Pregnancy: The medication may temporarily affect estradiol levels and related compounds
The dose is determined individually based on the patient’s age, weight, kidney function, infection severity, and the identified or suspected pathogen
Adults and adolescents weighing 40 kg or more take 1 sachet 2 to 3 times daily
Single doses should be taken at regular intervals throughout the day, for example every 12 hours if taken twice daily
The contents of the sachet should be dissolved in half a glass of water before use
Elderly patients take the same dosage if no signs of kidney or liver dysfunction are present
Patients with liver dysfunction should have liver function regularly monitored during treatment. If liver function deteriorates, treatment should be discontinued
The medication is most effective when taken after starting a meal, but it is also effective if taken before or after food
