Kagocel® – Tablets
Antiviral agent
The drug is used in adults and children aged 3 years and older:
Treatment and prophylaxis of influenza and other acute respiratory viral infections
Treatment of herpes in adults
Pregnancy and lactation
Children under 3 years
Hypersensitivity to any component of the drug
Lactase deficiency, lactose intolerance, glucose-galactose malabsorption
Note: Use during pregnancy and breastfeeding is not recommended due to lack of clinical data.
Adults – treatment of influenza/acute respiratory infections:
Days 1–2: 2 tablets 3 times a day
Days 3–4: 1 tablet 3 times a day
Total course: 18 tablets, duration – 4 days
Adults – prophylaxis (7-day cycles):
2 days: 2 tablets once daily
5 days break, then repeat cycle
Duration: from one week up to several months
Adults – herpes treatment:
2 tablets 3 times daily for 5 days
Total course: 30 tablets
Children 3–6 years:
Days 1–2: 1 tablet 2 times daily
Days 3–4: 1 tablet once daily
Total course: 6 tablets
Children 6 years and older:
Days 1–2: 1 tablet 3 times daily
Days 3–4: 1 tablet 2 times daily
Total course: 10 tablets
Children 3+ – prophylaxis (7-day cycles):
2 days: 1 tablet once daily
5 days break, then repeat cycle
Duration: from one week up to several months
