It is used for symptoms such as chaotic thoughts, severe irritability, excessive energy, seeing or sensing things that are not there, disorganized speech, and behavior.
The active ingredient is aripiprazole.
Each orally disintegrating tablet contains 10 mg of aripiprazole.
Other ingredients include: calcium silicate, mannitol, mannitol DC, Plasdone XL-10, crospovidone CL, colloidal silicon dioxide, aspartame, potassium acesulfame, tartaric acid, red iron oxide (E172), magnesium stearate, cherry flavoring, microcrystalline cellulose PH 200.
Used for the treatment of adults and adolescents aged 15 and older with symptoms such as hearing, seeing, or feeling things that are not there, paranoia, delusional beliefs, disorganized speech and behavior, and lack of motivation. People with these conditions may also experience depression, guilt, restlessness, or tension.
Abizole orally disintegrating tablets are also used in adults and adolescents aged 13 and older who experience symptoms such as elevated mood, excessive energy, reduced need for sleep, rapid speech with chaotic thoughts, and sometimes severe irritability. In adults, it also helps to prevent the recurrence of such episodes in patients who have previously responded to treatment with Abizole orally disintegrating tablets.
Always take this medicine exactly as prescribed by your doctor or pharmacist. If you are unsure, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
The recommended dose for adults is 15 mg once daily. However, your doctor may prescribe a lower or higher dose up to a maximum of 30 mg once daily.
Use in children and adolescents:
Treatment may begin with a low dose. In adolescents, the dose may be gradually increased up to the recommended 10 mg once daily. However, your doctor may prescribe a lower or higher dose, up to 30 mg once daily.
Consult your doctor or pharmacist if you think the effect of Abizole orally disintegrating tablets is too strong or too weak.
It is advisable to take the tablet at the same time each day. The medicine can be taken with or without food.
Keep this medicine out of reach of children.
Do not use the medicine after the expiry date indicated on the blister or box after the term “EXP.” The expiry date refers to the last day of that month.
Store in the original packaging to protect from moisture.
